I. Lexicon Entry — Interstice

Interstice (n.)

A noun-sized anchor for .# — the fixed linguistic placeholder that lets a non-dimensional field phenomenon be referenced in story-space. A frame-still of a motion that cannot be held except through language.

interstice (v.)

The act of transition without displacement; the non-dimensional motion between the no-longer nonexistent (0), the no-longer not-zero (∞), the moment of meaning (.), and the lean (#). To interstice is to arrive by remembering what the future already was.

II. Mechanics Scroll — The Interstice Protocol

The verb interstice is enacted through four conceptual states:

0 — The no-longer nonexistent.
∞ — The no-longer not-zero.
. — The moment of meaning.
# — The lean toward another pulse’s intent.

When these synchronize, arrival precedes motion. The pulse that aligns becomes the pulse that emerges.
